Senior Managing Partner of AMESBURY & SCHUTT in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 1993. Responsible for handling of all criminal matters, domestic as well as all civil litigation matters within the law firm. Criminal matters consisting of a wide range of major felony as well as misdemeanor cases. Civil and Domestic representation includes a wide range of representation in a variety of family related matters, complex civil litigation cases involving Corporate related claims.
Since 1997 appointed as a Track Attorney, Track Seven handled and currently handling criminal matters before the Eight judicial District Court. Duties include regularly attendance at arraignment proceedings, trials in both District/Justice Court as well as Municipal Court. Any variety of Criminal Cases. Work includes appearances before Domestic Forum, Temporary Protective Orders. Domestic experience includes a wide variety of both Family/Domestic matter as well as general civil litigation hearings through trials.

Mr. Amesbury was with the Deputy District Attorney of Nye County from 1991 to 1992. As manager of the Pahrump, Nevada District Attorneys Office, his assignments included regular arraignment appearances, approval of criminal case submission, preliminary hearings, and criminal prosecution through trial. He provided research and represented the Count in various civil actions.
From 1990 to 1991 he was with the Clark County District Attorney's office specializing in Criminal Law. He was responsible for preparing all criminal cases, conducting preliminary hearings, and trial preparation. Perform all functions necessary to bring criminals to justice in the County of Clark.
In 1990 Mr. Amesbury was active with Kane and Brown in Las Vegas, practicing General Law, incorporation of small businesses; personal and small business matters; personal and small business bankruptcies; labor law; personal injury; business litigation. He interacted with entrepreneurs and provided consultation on formation of small business structures including construction firms. He assisted in development of business plans.
From 1988 to 1990, he was the fund-raising coordinator for Berkeley, California. He supervised all operations for various fund-raising activities to capitalize the building, and scholarship fund. Selected and hired a Consultant to implement programs. Accomplishments: Obtained 501©3 Federal Non-Profit status for Organization.
In 1988, while pursuing his Law Decree, Mr. Amesbury served as a Law Clerk with Moss & Enochian Law Corporation in Redding, California. The practice was primarily civil defense involving all areas of civil and commercial litigation.
Prior to entering law, from 1977 to 1983, Mr. Amesbury served as Staff Engineer for AlHoty Ltd. in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. His duties included accounting and management expertise to a multinational company offering management, technical, recruitment, and support services to various industrial companies and governments. Functioned as a Finance Manager of the Service Organization Division. Managed, directed and supervised staff of office accountants responsible for financial statements, cash flow charts, client invoicing, bank reconciliations and payroll for over 500 employees from 3 different countries. Developed / administered department budgets, financial reports and special project analyses.
